Iain has recently overseen the remix and remastering of Represent, the debut release (2010) by improvisational quartet, The Chlorellas. This title will be released digitally on Friday, 28th October on Love of Colours Records.

Major New Audiobook Release

The audiobook version of Ian Rankin‘s long-awaited new novel, The Impossible Dead, published by Orion and narrated by Peter Forbes, features music composed by Iain. The audiobook has been published in both abridged and unabridged forms and is available everywhere.

New Album: The Melt Quintet

For the last six months, Iain has been recording a new album, ‘Under The Skyglow‘ with a new band, The Melt Quintet. The album was recorded at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios, Box and The Limehouse, London and features Iain (Piano, Vibraphone, Drums, Electronics), Jake Fryer (Tenor Sax), David Hackbridge Johnson (Drums, Violin), Paul Jenkins (Flugelhorn) and Sam Rommer (Bass).

December 2010: Recording sessions are almost complete on a suite of fifteen pieces, composed by Iain, to accompany Faber‘s new recording of ‘Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats‘ by T.S. Elliot, narrated by Miranda Richardson.

Iain has also recently completed the score for Caryl Hart and Ed Eaves‘ hilarious ‘Supermarket Zoo‘, published by Simon and Schuster and read by David Tennant.
